Pharmacy on Duty in Limassol: How to Find an Open Pharmacy Tonight

07 Nov 2026

On-call and late-night pharmacies in Limassol: live duty lists to cross-check, how the rota and half-days work, and what to do when it is more than a pharmacy trip.

Live Limassol duty pharmacies: compare sources

Open two lists for the same night and compare them. When they disagree, call the pharmacy before you drive.

If a site is down or slow, use the Cyprus-wide night roster and pick Limassol:

Information only: DocCy does not run these sites. Rosters can change at short notice, so call the pharmacy if you are unsure. This article is not medical advice; in a life-threatening emergency, call 112.

Limassol is long and narrow: from Agios Tychonas in the east to Ypsonas and Kolossi in the west, a wrong guess about which pharmacy is open can cost you half an hour in seafront traffic. This guide shows how the duty pharmacy rota works and how to check it in a minute.

How the duty rota works in Limassol

Most pharmacies close in the early evening. A small group in the district then stays open on a rota that changes every day, usually until late evening, and a few cover the night. Which ones are on duty depends on the date, not on the neighbourhood, so the pharmacy that was open last week near your home may be closed tonight.

That is why the live lists above matter more than a map: Google Maps opening hours for pharmacies in Cyprus are often wrong after hours.

Wednesday and Saturday afternoons

On Wednesdays and Saturdays most pharmacies close at lunchtime. On those days the duty pharmacies take over from the afternoon, not only at night. If you need something on a Saturday at 3 PM, check the duty list first.

Before you drive

  • Call first. The number is on the duty list. A short break or a late change is not always on the websites.
  • Check the area. The district list covers the whole of Limassol, including villages. Look at the address, not only the pharmacy name.
  • Bring your ID if you are collecting a GESY prescription.

When it is more than a pharmacy trip

A duty pharmacy can help with many evening problems, but chest pain, trouble breathing, sudden weakness or confusion, heavy bleeding or a very unwell child need emergency care: call 112 or go to the A&E of Limassol General Hospital or a private hospital with an emergency department. See which A&E to go to in Limassol.

For problems that can wait until the morning, a personal doctor under GESY is the usual first stop. You can find one near you here: personal doctors in Limassol, or paediatricians in Limassol for children.
